Digital Dentistry (CADCAM/Same-Day Crowns)

Digital dentistry involves using dental technology or devices that use computer-based or digital components. The use of computer-based technology allows dental offices to improve patient care even more. Above all, manual stages in dental operations are eliminated by digital dentistry. Because of this, dentists can offer a treatment method that is effective and more automated.

At Hassaan Dental Clinic, we plan the patient’s smile digitally by understanding the desires and goals of the patient. It can include dental veneers, crowns, bridges, and implants.

Same-Day Crowns (CADCAM Dentistry)

By using CAD/CAM, computer-aided design and manufacturing, and advanced dental technology, it is now possible to create lab-quality crowns and other dental restorations in a matter of minutes. When you consider that typical crowns require two or three trips and around the same amount of waiting time, it’s a remarkable innovation. You no longer have to wait to get a new tooth.

The best part is that research has proven that crowns manufactured using CAD/CAM technology are just as successful as those made using conventional materials and methods. Additionally, no one will be able to tell that your tooth has been restored because of the remarkably genuine appearance of a same-day crown.

How it works?

While you wait, the CAD/CAM software will be used to create your crown. For the most realistic appearance, the software can be used to make a mirror-image twin of the identical tooth on the opposite side of your mouth. The shade of dental ceramic material that most closely resembles your teeth is then selected as a block. The milling machine uses the digital design sent from the computer to quickly carve the crown out of the ceramic block.

The crown will be cemented to your tooth after the fit of the crown has been confirmed and any required aesthetic improvements to the surface have been performed (such as staining and glazing, for example).
