The Hollywood
Smile.
A Hollywood Smile is not a product — it is a plan. A digitally-designed, individually-proportioned, fully coordinated transformation of your visible smile: whitened, symmetrically gummed, and veneered across every tooth that shows when you smile. Designed to suit your face. Previewed digitally and physically before any tooth is touched. Executed in the correct clinical sequence. At Hassaan Dental Clinic — with Dr. Haris Mehmood, BDS Gold Medalist, FICD, MSPH, Certificate in Prosthodontics (AKU).
Not a product.
A precision plan for your face.
The term "Hollywood Smile" has become ubiquitous in dental marketing — but it means different things in different practices. At its best, a Hollywood Smile is a comprehensively planned, individually designed aesthetic smile transformation: teeth whitened, gum levels corrected, and 6–10 ceramic veneers or crowns across the visible smile zone, designed to the patient's facial proportions, approved before preparation, and executed in the correct clinical sequence. At its worst, it is a generic set of white veneers placed without facial analysis, without a mock-up step, and without correct sequencing — producing a result that looks artificial, doesn't fit the face, and may compromise teeth unnecessarily.
The difference is planning. At Hassaan Dental Clinic, every Hollywood Smile begins with a complete Digital Smile Design protocol — facial photographs, intraoral scan, CBCT where needed, facial proportion analysis, digital simulation, and a diagnostic mock-up on unprepared teeth. You see and feel the planned result before a single tooth is prepared. Every refinement happens at the design stage — not after veneers have been bonded.
A Hollywood Smile at Hassaan Dental is not "teeth that look like the ones on social media." It is teeth designed to suit your face, your skin tone, your lip line, and your personality — proportionate, natural-looking (unless you choose otherwise), and built on a functional foundation that ensures longevity. The result is a smile that photographs well, looks right in the mirror, and doesn't scream "veneers" to the people around you.
Tooth proportions are mapped to your facial midline, lip level, gum symmetry, and facial frame. A Hollywood Smile that doesn't suit the face looks wrong — regardless of how white the teeth are.
You see the result as a digital simulation on your face. You feel it as a physical mock-up on your actual unprepared teeth. Only after your approval does any preparation begin.
Whitening, gum recontouring, orthodontics, veneers, and crowns are sequenced correctly and designed together — not added ad hoc. The final result is cohesive because the plan was cohesive.
A smile that looks beautiful but bites incorrectly, breaks veneers, or strains the jaw joint is not a success. Every Hollywood Smile plan at Hassaan Dental assesses the bite and long-term functional stability.
Material selection (zirconia for bruxers), night guard provision, and ongoing maintenance are part of the plan — not afterthoughts. A Hollywood Smile that lasts 15–20 years is the goal, not one that looks good for six months.
Every treatment that builds
a Hollywood Smile.
A Hollywood Smile is never a single treatment. It is the coordinated execution of some or all of the following — determined by your DSD assessment, not by a fixed package.
Facial analysis, digital simulation, and diagnostic mock-up. Every Hollywood Smile begins here — the plan that all other treatments follow. You approve the outcome before any enamel is removed.
Learn about DSD →Whitening is always performed before veneer shade selection — it sets the shade ceiling for all restorations. Skip this and the veneers are matched to pre-whitening natural teeth, limiting how light they can be.
Learn about whitening →Uneven gum levels, a gummy smile, or asymmetric gum margins are corrected before veneers are placed. Gum tissue must heal to its final position before veneer margin placement — this step cannot be skipped or done after.
Part of DSD plan →Significantly misaligned teeth need positioning before veneering — placing veneers on malpositioned teeth requires excessive preparation angles, removing more enamel than necessary. Orthodontics first is the more conservative, longer-lasting approach.
Braces options →The centrepiece of every Hollywood Smile — ceramic shells covering the front of each visible tooth in the designed shape, shade, and proportion. 6–10 units typically across the upper arch; lower arch included where clinically appropriate.
Learn about veneers →Structurally compromised teeth — large fillings, cracks, root canal treatment — require crowns rather than veneers. CEREC same-day zirconia crowns are designed within the same DSD plan, matching the veneers in shade and shape seamlessly.
Learn about CEREC →Only teeth that genuinely require treatment are prepared. Healthy, well-aligned teeth are left alone — or addressed with the least invasive option. Conservation of natural tooth structure is a core principle at Hassaan Dental.
Whitening → gum healing → orthodontics → mock-up → preparation → provisionals → final fitting. Skipping or reversing steps compromises the result. Every Hollywood Smile follows the clinical sequence without shortcuts.
Night guard provision for bruxers, maintenance schedule, and expected replacement timeline are discussed at the planning stage. A Hollywood Smile is not a procedure — it is a long-term relationship with your smile.
Why every Hollywood Smile at Hassaan
starts with digital planning.
The difference between a Hollywood Smile that transforms and one that disappoints is almost always traceable to planning. DSD is not a marketing tool — it is a clinical protocol that prevents the most common causes of patient dissatisfaction.
Facial photos, intraoral scan, CBCT, OPG. Facial proportions measured — midline, lip level, gum symmetry.
Tooth shapes designed on your face in DSD software. You see the planned result overlaid on your photographs.
Temporary composite on unprepared teeth — you see and feel the planned shapes in your mouth before committing.
Only after your approval does preparation begin. Every clinical step follows the approved DSD plan.
From first consultation
to completed transformation.
A Hollywood Smile typically unfolds over 6–12 weeks depending on which supporting treatments are required. Here is the full journey — in the correct clinical sequence.
Full aesthetic consultation — you describe your goals, concerns, and what you want to change. Facial photographs, intraoral scan, and OPG X-ray are taken. Dr. Haris performs a clinical assessment of every tooth in the smile zone — identifying which need veneers, which need crowns, which require no treatment, and whether gum recontouring or orthodontics is needed. The DSD design is produced from these records and presented at a dedicated second appointment.
The DSD digital simulation — your planned smile on your face — is presented and reviewed together. A diagnostic mock-up is then placed directly on your unprepared teeth using temporary composite. You see and feel the planned tooth shapes, lengths, and proportions in your actual mouth. Refinements are made at this stage — shade, length, shape — before any commitment. This is the most important appointment in the entire process. Nothing irreversible has happened yet.
Whitening is always performed first. This is a clinical rule, not a preference. The shade achieved by whitening sets the maximum shade for the ceramic restorations — the veneers are matched to the whitened natural teeth. Skip this step and the veneers must be matched to the pre-whitening shade, limiting how light they can be. Chairside whitening provides an immediate result; take-home provides a gentler, slightly slower lightening. Two weeks are allowed for the shade to stabilise before ceramic shade selection.
Where gum levels are uneven, a gummy smile exists, or asymmetric gingival margins affect the planned smile line — gum recontouring is performed before any tooth preparation. The gum tissue must heal to its final position before veneer margins can be accurately placed. The timing is built into the overall treatment plan and does not extend the experience — it runs concurrently with the whitening phase.
Under local anaesthesia, a minimal layer of enamel (typically 0.5–0.8mm per tooth) is removed from each tooth to be veneered — guided precisely by the mock-up template. Provisional composite veneers are bonded immediately after preparation using the mock-up design as a template — so you leave the preparation appointment with the smile already looking as designed. A digital impression is taken for laboratory fabrication or CEREC milling.
The final ceramic veneers are placed on the prepared teeth without cement first — every unit is assessed for fit, shade, shape, contact points, and bite relationship against the approved DSD design. Where CEREC same-day zirconia is chosen, this happens at the preparation appointment itself. Once Dr. Haris and you are both satisfied, all veneers are permanently bonded in a single appointment. The completed smile is photographically documented.
A review at 2 weeks assesses gum adaptation, bite comfort, and any final adjustments. For patients with any grinding or clenching history, a custom night guard is mandatory — even zirconia veneers can chip or fracture under sustained nocturnal bruxism forces. Annual restoration review, 6-monthly professional cleaning, and annual take-home whitening top-up maintain the Hollywood Smile in optimal condition for its full lifespan.
What a Hollywood Smile
plan looks like in practice.
These are representative case profiles — not specific patients. Every case is individual; the DSD assessment produces a plan specific to your teeth, your concerns, and your goals.
Hollywood Smile pricing —
clear per unit. Confirmed before you commit.
Unit prices are fixed and transparent. Total cost is confirmed in writing at the DSD consultation — before any preparation begins, before any commitment is made.
Important: Unit prices remain the same; final treatment cost may vary after clinical examination. Total Hollywood Smile cost depends on the number of teeth, material selection, and which supporting treatments are required — confirmed in writing at the DSD consultation (PKR 1,000) before any preparation or commitment begins.
